Phytocannabinoids are the active constituents of the plant. These act as insecticides and fungicides. These occur specifically in plants. THC is the more commonly known cannabinoid, followed by CBD. More Cannabinoids are becoming more available. There are over 120 phytocannabinoids. You may see CBG, CBN, CBC available to you depending on where you are located.
Endocannabinoids are produced on demand in our body in response to an internal or external stimulus like stress or pain. These bind to receptors on cells throughout our body, known as the Endocannabinoid System.
Endocannabinoid System: The most widespread receptor system in the human body.
